Big B’s Woodshop started as many other woodshops do - parents passing down a trade to their children. For Big B’s, it was born from a love of creating quality hand built furniture and custom cabinetry.

Big B’s Woodshop is a family affair. Tom & Becky (aka Big B) started the woodshop as a way to build tangible items and subsidize a full kitchen renovation. When one of our friends said “Sure, build a 32-cabinet custom walnut kitchen as the maiden voyage - that sounds smart”, both Tom and Becky took that as a challenge. One kitchen led to another and, before long, word got out. We all know how that happens, and we are thankful that it does.

Friends began asking for furniture, cutting boards, even pieces for their kids. What started as a hobby with a few machines snowballed into a full woodshop. Hannah has been around for the full journey, but formally joined the team in early 2025 and has breathed fresh life into the joy of woodworking. Between Hannah and the trusty shop supervisor Carter, shown here, we stay very busy.

At Big B’s, woodworking is more than a craft - it’s a family tradition. We take pride in building beautiful, functional pieces meant to be used, loved, and passed down.
